Using coconut oil, herbal oil, shampooing your hair, all theses will only help in keeping your hair bouncy and in conditioning it. These will not help in preventing hair fall or premature graying.
Take care of your hair by consuming lots of greens, vegetables containing iron and curry leaves frequently. Gently massage your hair when you apply oil. This will help in the blood circulation and in strengthening the hair follicles. Hair should be dried naturally. Split ends should be cut and trimmed in order to maintain a neat presentation of your hairdo.

When I were in home (till my studies), I used to eat all green vegetables in bulk.... i.e 50% amma prepared was eaten by me, not by force, but then by choice... So amma used to hide the another 50% portion for the rest of the family...Sorry, but have to accept, yes I were greedy in eating vegs, but thanks to my brothers, they don't like it much.. so not much clashes happened..
Yes I did had long and thick hair at those days...But after that, I never had a chance to eat so greeny vegs, bcoz of the working locations and conditions... So now my hair fall is niyagara falls (non stop) and my hair started loving Peace (I mean showing white flags)... But I'm least bothered, because my hubby will never change his wife for this petty reason

One more thing I would like to share is follow Ramdev Baba's way of rubbing nails against each other. It may help. No harm in trying things which have been practised and taught by this Guru. Very simple and can be done anywhere, at any time.

Very useful topic..n yes totally agree that healthy green veggies makes a lot of dif with the hair fall n not the shampoos n conditioners ..in fact shampoos are very bad for the hair..more chances of having gray hair. so it's better to stick with shikai n other herbal products.

A balanced diet does stop hair from falling. Almonds and amla have proven properties to maintain that enviable lock.
However, as most of us are facing pollution, external factors that induce and hence must be controlled to check hair fall are also important. You might find the following tips helpful: Keeping your hair squeaky clean is vital for healthy hair. Dirty/greasy hair fall easily. Conditioning post shampooing must be religiously followed. Use a brush/comb which is comfortable to use and of good quality. If its ends are being frayed, waste no time in changing. Avoid combing wet hair. Never rub hair vigorously with towel post washing. Air drying is better for hair than rubbing or using dryers. Use as little hair styling products/equipments as possible. Finally, let your hair breathe once in a while as keeping them tightly tied continually increases hair fall. That said, fall of 100-150 hair per day is natural. If excessive hair fall persists, do consult a doctor to rule out hormonal problems. Hope you find this helpful
